The French Trade Commission in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian French
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MFCCI) and the French Business
Community of Malaysia are pleased to introduce IMAGES DE FRANCE.
IMAGES
DE FRANCE is a major business event offering new perspectives on
France, its know-how, its technologies, products, markets and business
opportunities. It will take place from November 12th to December 4th
2007,
IMAGES DE FRANCE will include 4 main events:
These
events are taking place during the 50th Anniversary of Malaysian
Independence and of the 50 years of friendship and diplomatic
relationships between Malaysia and France.
Three Professional Technical ConferencesAll events will be organised at KLCC Convention Center. These include technical conferences, round tables and business matching. Each event will be dealing with one of the different priority sectors defined under the 9th Malaysian Plan:
- November 12th, 2007
- Follow up of previous conferences organised in 2002 and 2005; themes discussed with Malaysian transportation authorities
- Objective: to bring solutions/ideas to transportation challenges in Malaysia
- Format: opening ceremony, round tables and business matching
- November 27th, 2007
- Themes discussed with Malaysian authorities
- Objective: to bring awareness to Malaysian public authorities and private stakeholders on French technologies
- Format: opening ceremony, round tables and business matching
- December 4th, 2007
- Follow up of previous conference organised in 2006; themes discussed with PETRONAS
- Objective: to bring awareness to Malaysian public authorities and private stakeholders on French technologies, to explore partnerships in research, and potential development in new technologies
- Format: opening ceremony, exhibitions-demonstrations and business matching
Consumer Goods Fair
The fair will be taking place at Midvalley Megamall, ground level and 3rd level, on the weekend of November 16th - 18th. Entitled A French A-Fair, it will welcome professionals from 3 specific sectors (food and beverages, lifestyle, and automotives) with the aim of promoting and commercialising French goods to the weekend crowd (expected 10,000 visitors per day). A French A-Fair will also showcase the cultural, culinary and tourism aspects of France, in association with the Alliance Française, the Cultural Department of the Embassy of France and the Maison de la France (French Government Tourist Office).
On the side of these 4 events, the Malaysian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise its annual gala dinner on the 24th of November at the Cyberview Lodge Resort, Cyberjaya.
